Our commitment to carbon-neutral operations.
Computacenter has a longstanding commitment to sustainable operations, and we take a responsible approach to reducing our direct and indirect environmental impacts. We became carbon neutral for Scopes 1 & 2 emissions at the end of 2022 and we maintained this for 2023. This has been achieved through increasing our own renewable energy generation and the proportion of energy we purchase from renewable sources, continued investment in energy-efficient lighting and equipment. This meant that we needed minimal purchase of carbon offsetting credits using Gold Standard offsetting schemes to achieve this milestone.

Direct Action
Our journey to Net Zero starts at home with direct action. Maximising the use of renewable energy for the future is key to reducing our direct carbon emissions across the Group. In 2020, Computacenter oversaw the largest commercial PV solar array installed in the UK. This provides over 25% of the energy consumed on-site and has created a proof of concept that we continue to extend to other locations. In 2022, our Integration Centers in Kerpen, Germany, and Livermore, USA, received solar installations with a combined 3216 panels for on-site energy production and consumption. Our total on-site generation capacity is now at 4.15MW.
SBTi
Computacenter has committed to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels aligned to the Paris Agreement.
SBTi has approved our near-term, long-term and Net Zero targets.

Task Force for Climate-Related Financial Disclosures
We support the aims of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) in communicating the risks and opportunities arising from climate change. In accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority’s Policy Statement PS20/17, we are making disclosures consistent with the TCFD’s recommendations, with the aim of providing all of our stakeholders with useful information relating to climate-related risks and opportunities relevant to our business.
Industry Frameworks & Accreditations
EcoVadis is a sustainability framework that is frequently selected by our customers and partners, and which we have also chosen to use as a key benchmark.
We have achieved both silver and gold EcoVadis ratings in our operating countries. We use the ratings to help inform our key sustainability initiatives and expect to continually improve our ratings in the coming years.

UN Global Compact & UN Sustainable Development Goals
Computacenter has been a proud signatory of the UNGC since 2007. Three of the ten principles adopted by the agreement directly relate to the effects that businesses have on the environment. Our continued emissions reduction and greater environmental awareness is testament to our commitment in upholding these principles. Coupled with the UN SDG’s direct climate action, Computacenter’s sustainability agenda will ensure that we uphold our original pledge, provide an ongoing Communication on Progress (CoP), and continue working within our global communities to protect our planet and climate.
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
We are proud to take part in the CDP Climate Change questionnaire with a Rating A- in 2023 ,an increase from 2022. We additionally have A- supplier engagement rating.

Being Carbon Neutral (Scopes 1 and 2) in 2022 was a major milestone, followed by SBTi approval for all of our carbon emissions goals in 2023. We were one of the first companies in our industry to achieve these vital outcomes.
