WE MUST TRUST IT

These days, nothing works without IT. Smart homes; the private IT that we use around the clock; Industry 4.0; the digitalisation of entire business sectors and business models; all are affected by IT. All companies that want to remain competitive now rely on digital processes and strategies in which IT plays a vital role – and this is no longer restricted to "classic" office IT. For many years, information technology has increasingly penetrated into areas that traditionally made little or no use of IT. Many of these areas now utilise innovative technologies, such as cloud computing or machine learning; a development that brings huge opportunities, but, as its use advances, IT infrastructures become more and more complex and their protection presents an immense challenge for businesses.

However, as more new technologies, such as in smart homes, self-driving cars or industrial robots, impact our professional and private lives the need for IT security increases. For example, the simple question "Is my company prepared to defend itself against cyber attacks?” is more complex than ever before – and, at the same time, the question "Do we meet all compliance regulations?" is equally complex.
