Alongside our services and innovations, our people are a major source of competitive advantage for Computacenter and we continually review our approach to attracting and retaining talented individuals. We pride ourselves on being an ethical employer with a diverse, talented and motivated workforce and have continued with our work on improving in these areas throughout 2017.

Under the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap information) Regulations 2017, all employers with 250 or more relevant employees are required to publish their gender pay gap information.  In accordance with these regulations we have made the necessary report on the government portals and you can see our full report below.

Although we have a gender pay gap at Computacenter, we don’t have an equal pay issue.  Our systems and processes regularly review this to make sure this is the case.

We’re pleased that our results show that our gender pay gap is better than the national median as well as that of the technology industry as a whole, but we want it to reduce.

We know the challenges we face in addressing our gender pay gap are consistent with others in the technology sector. Specifically within Computacenter we need to increase our female representation in senior management, sales and technology roles.  The impact on our gender pay gap of not having equal representation in these roles can be seen in the bonus pay gap figures in particular. Here, a significant element of bonus for senior manager’s bonus is based on company performance and commission.

Outside of these three areas our gender pay gap reduces significantly.  This can be shown by looking at the ten roles that make up 49.29% of our overall population of employees in scope for the GPG calculations.

Throughout 2017 we’ve worked hard to encourage a better gender balance across the company and as well as showing you our gender pay figures our report also talks about what we’ve done and will continue to do to carry on driving this forward.
