Computacenter today announces a new contract with the German state of Lower Saxony’s IT service provider, IT.Niedersachsen, to support their digitalisation strategy. Computacenter has won has two contracts for Software Development and IT Consulting following a tender for digitalisation support services in Lower Saxony.

New contract to provide software development, IT consultancy and operational support to IT.Niedersachsen

Computacenter today announces a new contract with the German state of Lower Saxony’s IT service provider, IT.Niedersachsen, to support their digitalisation strategy.

Computacenter has won has two contracts for Software Development and IT Consulting following a tender for digitalisation support services in Lower Saxony. The scope of these contracts includes optimising or redeveloping all current and future specialist processes and applications over the next two years. The service framework contract, concluded with IT.Niedersachsen for Lower Saxony, has the option to be extended for two 12 month periods. In addition, Computacenter will provide systems architecture support and assume management of parts of the general infrastructure. This includes specific areas such as data center infrastructures and migration, use of cloud solutions, WAN/LAN, unified communication, servers and storage, IT security, and solutions for the modern workplace.

IT.Niedersachsen is the central IT service provider of the Lower Saxony state government and part of their municipality. Approximately 1.000 colleagues supports more than 100,000 users in all areas of IT. Following the German Online Access Act (OZG), the organisation has had to modernise its workstations, networks, and data centers. To digitalise their administrative processes, they will be required to reprogram many specialised procedures to meet these new guidelines. Computacenter will collaborate with a partner network of software developers and organisation and architecture consultancies such as Accenture, Capgemini, INIT AG, msg systems and Allgeier SE to make technical resources available and support the successful implementation of the State's digitalisation requirements.
