FAQ

Q2. How much does it cost to renew?
There is no costs associated with renewing the contract however there will be a cost associated with renewing any expiring Software Assurance or Online Subscriptions.

Q3. Do I have to commit to purchase a certain amount of licenses via the agreement?
No - there is no specific commitment required, however if there are ZERO purchases under the enrollment then Microsoft may terminate the enrollment. There is no financial penalty if the contract is terminated.

Q4. Is the new agreement Select Plus or Select?
The new agreement is 3 year Select Agreement.

Q5. What is a Select Agreement?
It is a transactional license agreement that allows you to buy a mix of products, with or without Software Assurance.

Q6. Why do I need to renew this if I already have an EA?
The Select Enrollment allows you to buy licenses without Software Assurance.

Q7. How does a PSA09 Select agreement compare to an Enterprise agreement?
The Select enrolment sits under schedules 3 & 4 of the PSA09 agreement. The Select licensing scheme allows you to secure product from Microsoft on a commitment-free basis and at the best pricing level (Band D) discount. The Select enrolment will give you flexibility to purchase licenses as and when you need to, licenses can be purchased with or without software assurance, and you are not committed to purchase any set products. Under an Enterprise agreement you are required to purchase a set group of products over the 3 year agreement and all license purchases must include Software Assurance. There is no penalty for early termination (or ZERO Spend) under a Select enrolment.

A Select enrolment can also be signed alongside an Enterprise agreement to give you greater flexibility in the ways you can purchase your Microsoft licensing s.

Q8. Can I have more than one enrollment?
Yes it is possible to have more than one enrollment but multiple enrollments can add to the management overheads.

Q9. What discount do I get?
OGC Buying Solutions have negotiated a Corporate Level D -5% discount. Please contact your account team for quotes.

Q10. What about the SA benefits on the old agreement?
The benefits expire with the agreement however, if you have created a training voucher and reserved it with a qualified CPLS before the expiration of your Software Assurance coverage, the voucher will be valid for 180 days after the date it was created. Training vouchers not reserved with a qualified CPLS before the end of your Software Assurance coverage will expire and be forfeited.

Q11. How do I find out if I have any expiring SA?
Computacenter will be pro actively contacting those customers with expiring Software Assurance, however if you are unsure please contact your account team.

Q12. What do I need to do to renew?
You will need to sign a new Select Enrollment, please complete the Select Enrollment Request form. Computacenter will then email you pre populated contracts which you will need to print off, sign and return to:

Q13. Can I align it with my EA (Anniversary)?
No, the Select Agreement runs independently to any customer specific Enterprise Agreement.


Q14. What do the different contacts mean – e.g. what does the notices contact get/receive?
Primary contact information: The Customer signing this Enrollment must identify an individual from inside its organization to serve as the primary contact. This contact is the default administrator for this Enrollment and receives all notices unless Microsoft is provided written notice of a change. The administrator may appoint other administrators and grant others access to online information.

Notices and online access contact information: This will designate a notices and online access contact different than the primary contact (as mentioned above). This contact will replace the default administrator (primary contact) for this Enrollment and receive all notices. This contact may appoint other administrators and grant others access to online information.

Q15. Can I send a scanned/faxed copy of the paperwork?
No, please return original signed copies of the contracts by registered mail/courier to:

Q16. Will I be sent CD/DVD media kits and updates?
No, by default you will be given access to the Volume Licensing Service Center, where you are able to download media free of charge.
