IPO For Biomni
The Boards of Computacenter plc and Computasoft Ltd today announced their decision to explore the possibility of a public listing for a minority stake in Biomni, their business-to-business e-commerce joint venture in which both parties have a 50% stake.
Goldman Sachs have been appointed financial advisers to Biomni to lead the potential transaction which may take place within the first six months of 2000.
Biomni, established late last year, harnesses the e-commerce expertise developed by both Computacenter and Computasoft during their nine year partnership in creating sophisticated electronic procurement systems. Computacenter currently provides a version of Biomni software for electronic procurement by its customers.
Mike Norris, Chief Executive of Computacenter said: “Biomni reflects our belief in the business-to-business e-commerce opportunity and the potential to extend the commercial reach of our joint developments over the last nine years. This process marks another milestone in Biomni’s development.”
