Computacenter expands Oracle services with new partnership

Computacenter has joined forces with specialist IT consulting firm Sysao to enhance its service offerings around Oracle software.

The two companies both have extensive experience of implementing and integrating Oracle solutions, and by combining their skills and expertise will be able to deliver a seamless, end-to-end service to customers across the entire Oracle product suite.

Jim Carroll, Strategic Partner Director at Computacenter, commented: Businesses increasingly need to source external specialist skills to help in the delivery of complex IT projects, and it is important that infrastructure service providers such as Computacenter are able to offer a one-stop shop around mission-critical technologies. While Computacenter has a wealth of experience in implementing Oracle databases and applications servers together with their surrounding infrastructures, we have not previously been able to offer customers detailed technical consulting around Oracle’s application suite. By partnering with Sysao, we can provide an additional expert layer of advice on the effective deployment, maintenance and management of Oracle applications and their supporting databases.”

Sysao is one of the UK’s largest independent Oracle consultancies and was the first applications partner in Europe to be recognised as an Advantage Partner – the highest level of accreditation in Oracle’s partner programme.

Anna Morgan, Alliances and Marketing Director for Sysao commented: “The skills and culture of Sysao and Computacenter are an excellent match. Through the partnership, customers will be able to access a comprehensive set of integrated services from architecture design, system implementation and training to managed service offerings and systems integration. The two companies will be working closely together to ensure that joint services are developed in line with the changing needs of the private and public sector.”

Sysao and Computacenter were brought together by Oracle, and the new partnership is being cemented by their joint involvement in this year’s Oracle AppsWorld (June 23 – 26) in London.

Trudy Norris-Grey, Oracle’s VP for Multichannel sales commented: “We are delighted to have been able to help bring together two of our key partners to the benefit of our customers. The partnership between Computacenter and Sysao has considerable breadth, and will be a valuable resource for businesses needing to source IT services around our applications.”

Computacenter is an accredited member of the Oracle partner programme and has carried out a number of Oracle implementations for its customers. Simon Oecken, Computacenter’s Consultancy Practice Director, added: “Sysao has enormous breadth and depth in integrating and developing Oracle applications, which blends perfectly with Computacenter’s expertise in critical infrastructure deployment and management. The minimal services overlap between the two companies, plus Sysao’s track record in this field, secured their partnership status over and above their competitors. We are already working on a number of joint opportunities with customers, and are looking forward to what we believe will be a profitable partnership.”
