Enhance compliance with
effective software asset management
Poor software asset management can result in unnecessary cost and complexity for your organisation and also put licensing compliance at risk.
As part of Computacenter’s agreement with Connecting for Health, NHS organisations within the East of England, East Midlands and Arms Length Bodies can access valuable software asset management services at no extra cost.
This ongoing managed service combines two of Computacenter’s software licensing offerings:
Software Asset Discovery*: With this ongoing hosted service, you will be able to identify, monitor and quantify the usage of the Microsoft software installed within your organisation. By providing dynamic visibility of your estate via a discovery dashboard, this service will help you track your licensing status as your organisation and user base changes
Software Asset Appraisal: This service will enable you to reconcile the discovered data from Asset Discovery Service with actual licences owned by Connecting for Health and your organisation. The appraisal adheres to industry best practice, including ITIL and ISO 19770, and is completely confidential.
These funded services – which are available until the end of the Enterprise Agreement in May 2010 - will provide you with transparency and control across your entire Microsoft licensing estate. As a result you will be able to:
- Maximise software utilisation
- Confidence that you can defend against a audit and prove compliance
- Proactively manage software licences for re-organisational and staffing changes
- Enhance your adoption of NIMM
Computacenter’s Software Asset Management services can be extended to other vendors at minimal cost.
* If you already have a working discovery tool, you can opt for just the Software Asset Appraisal service.
Limited availability
Funding for these services is only available for a limited period, so make sure you start your application with Computacenter today.
