Software asset management is an ongoing challenge for NHS organisations, and is key for ensuring compliance with vendor licensing agreements. With vendor audits predicted to increase in the months to come, NHS organisations need to get their software estates in order and keep them that way. 

In response to this, we have gained funding from Connecting for Health to offer our software asset management services (SAM) services to you at no cost. 

This is an ongoing managed service giving you the management tools and expert support needed to control your licences on an ongoing basis. It combines an industry-leading discovery tool, Software Asset Discovery with expert licensing consultancy and reconciliation services, Software Asset Appraisal. This delivers transparency of utilisation across the estate, management reporting and above all, the support of licensing consultants who can make sense of your position and provide expert advice on where and how to avoid risk and cost.   (If you already have a working discovery tool, you can opt for just the Software Asset Appraisal service.)

As a result, you can continually track usage of Microsoft software across your organisation and reconcile this against entitlements to identify any under or over licensing. This is key for proving compliance for audit purposes but also reducing cost and complexity.

In response to this, we are working with Connecting for Health to gain funding in order to offer our SAM services to you at no cost. You can register your interest with us now to apply for this funding when it becomes available. This service is only available to trusts in the East of England, East Midlands and Arms Length Bodies and is on a first come, first served basis. 

To apply for funding, please complete the Priority Request Form by December 19th.  Completing this form does not commit you to the service, it simply secures the option for you to take up the service should you wish to when funding becomes available.

The funding would be for Microsoft only, however for a small step-up fee you can extend the service to include other software vendors giving you all-round control of your licensing position without the cost, effort and complexity that it would typically involve.
