Computacenter has landed a trio of awards from Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) in recognition of its thriving partnership with the storage vendor helping organisations simplify their information management.

As well as being named overall EMEA partner of the year, the IT solutions and services provider also won the region's growth awards for HDS Enterprise and Modular storage technology.

Neill Burton, director of Computacenter's Datacenter business line, commented: "HDS technologies help us address real customer challenges in the areas of information storage and management across physical, virtual and cloud environments. As a result, we have seen phenomenal growth in key areas including cross-platform virtualisation and the right-sizing of clients' storage platforms. During 2009, Computacenter UK doubled its HDS business, earning the company three out of the 10 EMEA partnership awards. The awards are testament to Computacenter's expertise in the storage market, and its expertise in understanding HDS' solutions, including enterprise storage virtualisation technologies, modular storage and enterprise content storage.

In addition, Computacenter Germany picked up three accolades from HDS for healthcare partner of the year, Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) partner of the year and for securing the largest file-based service deal in EMEA.
