In
the face of multiple options on the supplier side, a single interface
provides an efficient and convenient means of sourcing multi-vendor
solutions. Computacenter has developed strong relationships
with high-quality vendors who can bring the best currently available
to our clients. Working with market leaders such as HP and IBM allows
Computacenter to ensure best-fit solutions for its clients needs
around the world.
Computacenter’s
close relations with these vendors at an international level compliment
those of our International Partners at the national level and ensure
that international customers receive a unique offering that addresses
their needs at the central and local level.
The customer
benefits associated with this close relationship between supplier
and manufacturer include seamless co-ordination of multinational
projects, consistency in local supply and support, and close co-operation
on global bids.
At the core
of these strategic relationships lies a regular exchange of information,
so that through Computacenter, clients share the long-term strategy
of the manufacturers, keep abreast of emerging technologies and
market developments, and benefit from joint marketing and information
services. These benefits can assist clients to plan future purchases
and define their own long-term IT strategies.
International
Programmes
In recent years, vendors have seen many of their major clients embark
upon international, often world-wide, projects and have responded
by adopting a global approach to their own business through international
programmes. Achieving consistency in products, pricing, warranty,
support and availability across different geographies are the strategic
goals of these programmes.
International
Accreditations
The vendors have also recognised the importance of identifying reliable
business partners able to ensure consistent supply and support globally.
Computacenter has typically been among the first to receive their
international accreditations, which include :
HP
- 'International Systems Reseller'
In order to better serve their international clients, Compaq
launched a world-wide accreditation in 1992 to officially acknowledge
the most qualified Compaq international resellers. Subsequent to
the HP merger the programme has now transferred across, as has Computacenter's
accreditation.
The stringent
criteria for gaining this title include a presence in at least ten
leading industrialised countries, a proven record of international
project management, an adequately resourced international headquarters
with a dedicated staff to co-ordinate HP projects, and a single
point of contact authorised to agree standard terms internationally
on behalf of all outlets.
IBM
- 'International Business Partner'
Computacenter is officially recognised Internationally by
IBM's 'International Business Partner' (IBP) accreditation. Through
this program, IBM is recommending preferred partners for clients
considering international IT projects and assuring them of a comprehensive,
well co-ordinated solution developed jointly by Computacenter and
the IBM Account Manager.
